SHORT TERM AND LONG TERM MISSIONS

CrossCulture Jesus has sown into many lives through the internship program outlined in the article below, however should you desire a more complete missions experience, we suggest you consider becoming either a short-term or long term missionary. All applicants who desire to join our team for either short-term (4 to 11 months) or long-term missions (12 months or more) are considered interns for the first 3 months of their stay.

Housing can be provided to single missionaries for a small fee. Other arrangements will be made for married couples or families.

At this point, CrossCulture Jesus is only accepting applications from those who wish to join the Brazos Abiertos outreach team in San Jose Pinula, Guatemala.

DISCOVER MISSIONS THROUGH AN INTERNSHIP

If you desire a unique missionary experience where you are submersed in the Guatemalan culture, become involved in a local church, and are infused with even more passion for the Lord then consider a 2-3 month internship with CrossCulture Jesus.

As an intern you will daily interact with the Guatemalan culture as you run personal and ministry errands, purchase ministry supplies, take the public transportation, and occasionally attend social and cultural events. Learn even more about the Guatemalan culture as you help prepare typical Guatemalan foods in our kitchen. Challenge your Spanish skills by taking part in dramas, skits, puppet shows, and other activities. Meet new friends with a passion to serve the Lord while you attend a local church.

Our interns are given the opportunity to accompany the Brazos Abiertos Outreach Team and participate in ministry at a variety of locations such as orphanages, jails, drug and alcohol rehabilitation centers, feeding programs, villages, Bible Clubs, and home visits. At each location the interns are asked to take an active role as our staff mentors them in the different aspects of ministry at each site.

If you are accepted into our internship program you will attend Casa de Dios, a local church driven to reach the lost. There you will sit under a powerful anointing and weekly hear life changing sermons that will challenge you to become a better person in every area of your life. As you attend cell groups you will be able to make friends in a smaller, more intimate setting.

As an intern you will be required to complete a series of reading assignments and Bible Studies pertinent to ministry and missions.

The CrossCulture Jesus internship is designed to meet the needs of those who feel called into full-time missions as well as young people who are looking for a summer adventure serving the Lord. The cost of the internship program is $180/monthly. This fee includes housing, lunch from Monday through Friday, exposure and training in various ministry settings, exposure to Guatemalan culture, and occasional Bible School level teachings. We advise all interns to bring at least $175 per month for personal expenses, transportation, and meals not included in the internship fee. You must be 18 years or older to apply.
