BRAZOS ABIERTOS (OPEN ARMS)

Asociación Brazos Abiertos is the name under which CrossCulture Jesus primarily operates in Guatemala. This portion of the ministry is dedicated specifically to mercy ministries and humanitarian aid. The name depicts Jesus opening His arms in a warm embrace to hurting children.

 Currently Asociación Brazos Abiertos holds a number of outreaches and organizes a variety of Bible classes. In accordance with the vision and as the Bible teaches in the book of James, outreaches and Bible Studies are accompanied by a donation of material provision such as food, clothing, and hygiene products in an effort to bring relief to the poor and needy.

MEET OUR TEAM

The Brazos Abiertos outreach team is made up of a small "army" of people. Few in number, but mighty in faith. Our outreach team consists of 2 full-time, 3 part-time members and several volunteers.

MEET OUR INTERNS:

  Crossculture Jesus now accepts interns! Our first interns, Konni and Alyson, were a great asset. to our team as each brought different ideas and a new outlook. You can see them at the left in the photo with a Rebecca.

Our precious interns learned about culture and language as they integrated themselves in a local church. They learned about ministry in a variety of settings as they accompanied us on and took part in our outreaches. Alyson has returned to continue her internship. Nichole joins her. Both of them are adjusting to life in a foreign setting while focusing on spiritual growth in several areas of their lives.   Below you will see a picture of Alyson receiving her 3-month diploma.  CONGRATULATONS ALYSON!!!
